OPEN HOUSE will be Sunday, Nov. 23 from 2:30- 4:00. Come this Sunday afternoon for performances, classroom displays and refreshments for your whole family! Wow, see what’s happening!

FREE WORKSHOP “High School Record Keeping and Transcripts” Tuesday, Nov. 18, 11:00- 12:00 with Margaret McLewin. Call HOME-HSP (466-3477) to register.

HSP SKATING PARTY! Friday, Dec 12, 10am-12pm. at the Iceland Skating Rink in Virginia Beach, 4915 Broad St ,Virginia Bch, VA 23462 (Near Pembroke Mall/ VB town center). Open to all in the local homeschooling community. Tickets are $4 each and may be purchased in the HSP office.  Tickets will not be sold at the door. Come and bring a friend! Skates are included in the ticket price. Refreshments will be served. Call 466-3477 if additional information is needed.

THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES Attention families attending The Emperor’s New Clothes. Please check your file folders for your tickets and directions. Show will be Friday, November 21 at 10:30 AM at Regent University Theatre.

THANKSGIVING VACATION HSP will NOT hold classes on Tuesday or Thursday of Thanksgiving week, November 25 and 27.

HOMESCHOOL PLUS GRADUATION ceremony is planned for Saturday, June 6. If you/ your senior are interested in participating in the ceremony, please write to Margaret McLewin at mclewinfam@aol.com so that you will be added to the list of contacts for information related to graduation. The first planning meeting will be in January TBA.

PERFORMING ARTS FIELD TRIPS- The following field trips can be signed up for on the clipboards to the left of the information table, near the bulletin boards. Payment for tickets should be made at the same time you sign up by putting a check in the HSP file folder or bringing cash to the office. (Please label checks/cash with the name of the event.)

THE GLORY MAN Regent University Theatre’s Student Matinee presents The Glory Man on Friday, December 12^th at 10:00 am. Tickets are $8 per seat, one adult plus children per family. Additional adults pay full price $16.50; seniors 55+ $13.50.

THE NUTCRACKER Virginia Ballet Theatre presents Richmond Ballet The State Ballet of Virginia in The Nutcracker on Friday, young at heart will marvel as the Silberhaus family Christmas tree grows and the toys beneath it help Clara and her Nutcracker Prince battle the Mouse King. Enjoy a banquet of dance to Tchaikovsky’s familiar score, performed live by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are $10/student, $20/adult..
